At Resential, we are committed to providing a high-quality resume generation service. This Refund Policy explains your rights as an EU consumer and the circumstances under which refunds may be provided.

Service Price: Resential charges a one-time fee of €2.99 (including VAT where applicable) for generating and delivering your professional resume as a PDF.

2. EU Right of Withdrawal

Under EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period begins on the day you complete your payment for the resume service.

3. Waiver of Withdrawal Right for Immediate Delivery

Important: Loss of Withdrawal Right

By requesting immediate delivery of your digital resume PDF at checkout, you explicitly agree to waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once the download is provided.

Legal Basis: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m), consumers lose the right of withdrawal for digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium if performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.

What This Means:

  • At checkout, you will be asked to check a box explicitly requesting immediate delivery of your resume PDF
  • By checking this box and completing payment, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the PDF is made available for download
  • This waiver only applies if you request immediate delivery; if you do not request immediate delivery, your 14-day withdrawal right remains intact
  • The waiver is timestamp-recorded for legal compliance

Why We Require This Waiver: Our service provides immediate, complete digital delivery upon payment. Once you have downloaded your resume PDF, the service has been fully performed and cannot be "returned" in any meaningful way.

4. When Refunds May Be Granted

4.1 Technical Failures

If our service experiences a technical failure that prevents you from receiving your completed resume PDF after successful payment, we will:

  • First attempt to resolve the issue and deliver your resume
  • If resolution is not possible within a reasonable timeframe, provide a full refund of €2.99

4.2 Payment Errors

If you were charged multiple times due to a payment processing error, we will refund all duplicate charges immediately upon notification.

4.3 Service Not Delivered

If you paid but never received access to download your resume due to a system error on our end, you are entitled to a full refund.

4.4 Withdrawal Before Delivery

If you exercise your withdrawal right within 14 days of payment and have not yet downloaded or requested immediate delivery of your resume, you are entitled to a full refund.

5. When Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds will not be provided in the following circumstances:

  • After Immediate Delivery: If you explicitly requested immediate delivery, agreed to the waiver, and downloaded your resume PDF
  • Content Dissatisfaction: If you are unhappy with the resume content based on information you provided (the quality of the output depends on the quality and completeness of your input)
  • Changed Mind: If you simply changed your mind after downloading the resume (this is covered by the withdrawal waiver you agreed to at checkout)
  • User Error: If you provided incorrect information or failed to save your downloaded PDF
  • Third-Party Issues: Issues with your email provider, internet connection, or device that prevented download (we provide download access during your session)

6. How to Request a Refund

While we cannot guarantee job placement or specific outcomes, we are committed to providing a high-quality resume generation service. Our AI-powered system uses professional resume examples and quality assessment to ensure your resume meets industry standards. If you experience technical issues preventing service delivery, we will work diligently to resolve them or provide a refund.

9. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under mandatory EU or Dutch consumer protection law.
